So I discovered a guitarist named "Orianthi Panagaris". She's played for Santana, Michael Jackson, and several other well known bands. She's CLEARLY talented. She can CLEARLY shred a guitar. She's sort of a role-model of mine. I went online to check out some of her vids...
...and then.. I find a whole stream of:
----------------------------------------
"She would be the perfect female guitarist if she only had bigger tits. Other than that she's pretty good for a girl with a B cup. "
"and that is why you dont let women out of the kitchen"
"I HATE her vibrato! And pretty much everything else."
"Dumb ass cunt thinking she knows shit about Music"
"the guitar wasn't made for girls, that's why she sucks at it... :/"
-----------------------------------------------
HOW THE FUCK am I supposed to continue with music without fear and without reservation if... it's just... I don't even...
First of all, the guitar itself, when first developed in the baroque era, was CONSIDERED AND CREATED to be a woman's instrument.
Second of all... no. Fuck. I've made my point. I'm gonna bust a fucking artery if I keep going. I'm going to bed.

So I applied for a job...
...as an interpreter at the history center.
If I get the job: Hooray! Money and a schedule!
If I don't: Hooray! I can dye my hair blue again!
Either way works out for me. XD
The Circle of Life
I swap in and out of fandoms like a motherfucker. I'll be into something for a few months, do a truckload of art/cosplays/what-have-you, and then move on to something else, and then do it all again. I've noticed the same pattern over and over again, and I can pretty much predict when I'm going to move on to something else before it even begins to happen.
So for the sake of just keeping up with my journal I promised I'd do, I'm gonna jot down some notes.
Phase one: Discovery
Find a new thing. Browse related artwork. Establish a character or two I like.
Phase two: Immersion
Begin drawing a few characters in my style. Watch/read the thing alm
Linebacker Batman and other things we did today.
HEY DEVIANTS! (Is that still what people who use this site are called? Deviants? God, it's been so long. ~wthplz (https://www.deviantart.com/wthplz))
So I'm gonna try writing a journal entry at least once a week, since my life is full of bizarre adventures and I really miss writing about them. I think some people here watched me solely for my college adventures.
Sadly, college is over for me, but there's more to life than school, thank christ. :icondizzy-plz:
So just jumping in, here we go. Hold on to your butts.
My sister's 20th birthday is in two days, so today we went party supply shopping at Party City... like ya do. :iconisaydanceplz:
Her previous two birthdays h
I should do that draw-it-again meme.
I also need to make a folder here for all the art I made before I turned 20.
I'm still alive. I'm still drawing. Don't worry.
Man, how does this site even work? How did I make as many friends here as I did?
This is so sad. XD
I'm gonna have to start all over again, aren't I?

The whole 'women can't play guitar' guff is a load of frog bollocks. One of my favourite guitarists is Lori Linstruuth, and I loved her powerful blazing style before I even knew who she was.

I think you may enjoy this. It is she- not the guitar- that produces such a powerful sound.
